Oink Games are trying to build “a world where you can play board games, even if you can’t see each other”, by building software that’ll let you play their games on a Switch. The first available ones will be Deep Sea Adventure and Startups, but stretch goals will allow them to bring more of their 30-game catalogue to the Switch, too. 200% funded will bring Moon Adventure into the mix, and 300% will add Fake Artist Goes To New York.
If you’re a board game aficionado, you might have the work of Oink Games on your radar. Their compact, stylish game boxes are much more fun to pull out at a party than a massive Monopoly box, and much easier to learn, too. And now, they’re hoping to bring those board games to Switch, with a Kickstarter goal of just £19,500 ($27,800).
The team are planning four modes: solo play against an AI, local co-op with one Switch and local co-op with more than one Switch, and online play.
The game is aimed at markets in Japan, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, to name a few, with language support including Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese.
