One day after its release, Modern Warfare 2 removes a contentious feature

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has only been out on PC and consoles for one day, the game has already undergone some significant alterations. The SBMM and servers of MW2 have generated the most interest thus far, but players are also talking about other things. Gamers posted videos of the game’s ping system on Reddit, Twitter, and other websites.

As you may expect, the COD community was outraged when these clips immediately became popular online. Infinity Ward has already removed the feature, even though the remedy is undoubtedly in the works. The game’s ping mechanism allows players to track adversaries across walls as the video below illustrates.

In other words, this feature made popular by other games in space worked as a wallhack. What made the bug even worse was the fact that it was easy to replicate.

“Hmm, that’s a big mistake. I swear I noticed people chasing me through walls, but I didn’t want to be ‘that guy,’ so I let it happen.” This should be fixed as soon as possible.
