Oregon reports an additional 44 COVID-19-related deaths, 6 in central Oregon;  2,040 new cases

There are 48 available adult ICU beds out of 656 total (7% availability) and 337 available adult non-ICU beds out of 4,282 (8% availability). The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 1,082, which is seven more than Monday. There are 288 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is 14 more than Monday. St. Charles Bend reported 87 COVID-19 patients as of early Tuesday, 15 of whom were in the ICU, with 14 of ventilators. That is 11 fewer patients than the record 98 reported on Monday. One of Tuesday’s 15 ICU patients were fully vaccinated, while 10 of the 87 total patients were fully vaccinated.

OHA also reported 2,040 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, bringing the state total to 303,532. Central Oregon health departments said six COVID-19 deaths in the region were reported by OHA on Tuesday — four from Crook County, one from Deschutes County and one from Jefferson County. That brings the total pandemic death tolls to 37 in Crook County, 99 in Deschutes County and 46 in Jefferson County.

COVID-19 hospitalizations PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) — There are 44 new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 3,490, the Oregon Health Authority reported Tuesday.
