While those platforms are filled to the brim with indie games, the next generation of consoles, particularly the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, are slowly having their libraries filled with fairly new indie games.
Southeast Asian games have steadily been making great strides in the gaming industry, with more and more games making their way to PC, mobile, and the Nintendo Switch.
One such game that is making the big push onto the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is Indonesian studio Gamecom Team’s A Day Without Me, along with a port to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
This adventure game has players assuming the role of the last man on Earth, who has to piece together clues and figure out what happened to humanity by exploring the empty world around them.
The game saw a PC release last year, followed by a Nintendo Switch port back in March. The Gamecom Team is also releasing a 3D platformer called Babol The Walking Box next month on Steam, and are currently working on Parakacuk as well.
Both Babol The Walking Box and A Day Without Me will be published by Chili Dog Interactive, who have confirmed that A Day Without Me will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One first this summer, with the next gen versions coming soon after.
