PS5 restock could make a comeback this week. GameStop, Target, and Sony Direct are some of the retailers we anticipate will have PS5 restock this week.
Last week saw plenty of action in terms of PS5 restocks, as Walmart finally restocked the console for the first time in weeks. Then Best Buy shocked us all with a surprise Thursday drop, breaking from its historic cycle of always dropping consoles on Friday.
Looking ahead to this week, it’s doubtful that either of those retailers will have another restock so soon, but Target is being tipped for a drop this week. Word comes from Jake Randall, a YouTuber and full-time PS5 stock tracker, who has very reliable sources at Target.
If the big red retailer does have a PS5 restock this week it will most likely be on Wednesday (May 12) between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. ET. Otherwise, GameStop and Amazon are alternative retailers that could restock in the coming days.
In frustrating restock-related news, Sony has confirmed that supply of the PS5 isn’t expected to get any better this year. This would mean restock shortages continuing into 2022. Fear not, however, we’ll be here every single week tracking restocks until the console is available without issue.
