Social media website Reddit removed the built-in subreddit chat room feature after a day of launch due to a site-wide bug. The company said the new feature had several bugs and the chat start button was not responding to different users.

The Verge quoted the statement from Alex Le, Reddit’s vice president of product and community, who said on Thursday that the feature has been “turned back 100%.” Le had said the platform “made several mistakes” when releasing the feature, called “Start Chatting,” and also apologized for the confusion the rollout caused.
