To support frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19, Samsung and Google will offer free phone repairs to health professionals and first responders. The two companies will offer the repairs in partnership with the phone repair company uBreakiFix, de Verge reported.

All eligible free phone repairs just need to visit a uBreakiFix location or email them in their Galaxy phone to get the free repair. Samsung also offers a 30 percent discount on every purchase on Samsung.com to first responders and caregivers.

“Samsung’s program, called ‘Free Repairs Frontline’, provides free repair services for Samsung smartphones, including cracked screens and battery replacement, to June 30, to all first responders and caregivers,” it said. The free Pixel repair program is similar to that of Samsung.

“An emergency worker or healthcare provider with a Google Pixel smartphone can present their ID badge at one of uBreakiFix’s US locations to receive one free repair regardless of device model or type of damage,” said a uBreakiFix press release. This program lasts until June 30. (ANI)
