Squire Patton Boggs Hires BakerHostetler Consumer Privacy Leader

News Highlights: Squire Patton Boggs Hires BakerHostetler Consumer Privacy Leader

Squire Patton Boggs has poached Alan Friel of Los Angeles, head of Baker Hostetler’s U.S. consumer privacy group, to lead the global privacy and cybersecurity practice.

Friel, who also served as BakerHostetler’s digital asset and data management leader in California, helps clients create data inventories and develop information management and data privacy and security programs. He has worked with clients on issues surrounding the historic California Consumer Privacy Act and also advises on compliance with the California Privacy Rights Act, which will take effect in 2023.
