Emerging markets-focussed lender Standard Chartered said on Thursday it had selected supportability veteran Marisa Drew as Chief Sustainability Officer, effective July 1. Drew joins from Credit Suisse (SIX:CSGN), where she held a similar job, and is a conspicuous individual from different industry bodies connected to sustainability issues, including the Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy. At StanChart, Drew will direct the bank’s endeavors to arrive at net-zero carbon emissions across its loan book and report to Simon Cooper, Chief Executive of Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (CCIB).
