The state began accepting applications on Thursday. Those eligible to apply include small businesses, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations who began operation on or before March 1, 2019 and continue to be in operation as of the date of their application, even if they were shuttered due to COVID-19 restrictions. “The impact the pandemic has had on our small businesses has been extraordinary,” said Stirpe. “As our economy begins to recover, it is vital struggling small businesses receive all the help they can get. The COVID-19 Pandemic Small News Recovery Grant Program was created to help do just that.”
