Steam has announced that it will no longer support SteamVR on macOS. The company first introduced SteamVR for Apple computers at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017. Steam has now ended support for approximately three years.

The move was announced in a short post on the SteamVR news page, spelled out in one sentence: “SteamVR has ended macOS support, allowing our team to focus on Windows and Linux.” However, Mac users still have some access to the feature through legacy builds. One door closes, another certainly opens. (ANI)
