Both the Great Indian Festival sale at Amazon and the Big Billion Days sale at Flipkart are now open to all users, not just Prime or Plus members. Flipkart kicked off the Big Billion Days on October 15, with the first day of sale reserved for Flipkart Plus members. Similarly, Amazon began the Great Indian Festival sale on October 16 with the first 24 hours reserved for the Amazon Prime members. The Flipkart sale will continue through October 21, although chances are it will extend as Amazon hopes to have the sale for up to a month or until Diwali.
A quick look at the deals available on the two e-retail sites show that both go well together in terms of what they offer, although Flipkart seems to have a slight advantage. Not only does it have better discounted phones and gadgets, it mostly has better fashion brands offering products at better prices, probably because of its strength in that area thanks to Myntra. For example, if you’re looking for sneakers, Flipkart has some great deals while Amazon is missing.
At the same time, Amazon has the best deals on Amazon products, such as Echo smart speakers and Kindles, and Amazon Basic or Solimo products. These are all exclusive to Amazon.
Amazon is coming to smartphones and offering a lot in the form of the iPhone 11 for a price of Rs 47,999. Flipkart, meanwhile, has a deal for the iPhone SE 2020 for Rs 26,999 and the iPhone XR for Rs 47,999. It also has the iPhone 11 Pro for Rs 79,999.
For banking partnerships, Flipkart has an affiliation with the State Bank of India, and SBI card users get an additional 10 percent off Flipkart deals. Amazon works with HDFC this time, and users of HDFC cards get an extra 10 percent off Amazon deals. If you’re looking for great deals on Amazon and Flipkart sales, here we’ve detailed a few:
