Direct Create plans to launch awareness campaign to promote handicrafts

Direct Create, an online-offline crafting technology platform, plans to launch an “ Empowerment through Craft ” awareness campaign to enroll entrepreneurs and more artisans, a press release said on Saturday. The campaign will be rolled out in several small towns and villages through NGOs and with government cooperation, he said. According to Sheela Lunkad, who co-founded Direct Create with husband Rajeev Lumkaf, the platform is already connected to a community of 15,000 creators and designers with 2,500 artisans and designers. Direct Create is also in talks with financial institutions and angel investors to support small businesses in the craft space, she added.
