Makan Delrahim, the Justice Department’s (DOJ) antitrust chief, said Wednesday that the Biden administration will continue the federal government’s antitrust investigations into US tech companies once it comes to power in January.
The outgoing Trump administration competition chief told Bloomberg that he expects a group of staff attorneys from President-elect Joe Biden’s Justice Department to lead the investigation into companies like Google.
Delrahim, who will finish his work on Jan. 19, said that scrutiny of technology companies by enforcers is critical to protecting competition in digital markets.
