News Highlights: iSpot acquires Ace Metrix to strengthen TV ad measurement technology

Seattle-based startup iSpot strengthens its technology platform that measures TV ad performance with the acquisition of Los Angeles-based Ace Metrix.
The two companies are similar and both offer software to help brands find out the effectiveness of their TV ads. Ace Metrix focuses on analyzing consumer confidence before and after the first broadcast of an ad.
“The integration of Ace into the iSpot ecosystem provides an ad measurement machine like never before,” said Peter Daboll, CEO of Ace Metrix, in a statement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ace Metrix had raised more than $ 20 million since its launch in 2007. Daboll will join iSpot as Chief Strategy Officer. Ace Metrix adds 45 employees to iSpot’s workforce, which will increase to 240.
