HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) was reappointed as President of Senate Communications and Technology Commission by Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman (R-Center / Huntingdon / Juniata / Mifflin) on Wednesday.
Phillips-Hill was the majority chair of the committee during the 2019-2020 session and says her reappointment provides an opportunity to continue working on major efforts to expand the availability of superfast broadband to close the state’s digital divide.
The work of the committee created the Unserved High-Speed ​​Broadband Funding Program, which has improved access to high-speed broadband Internet in rural Pennsylvania.
