The lifted its overnight deposit and lending rates by 50 basis points to 1.5 percent and 3%, respectively, and increased its four-week deposit rate by 25 basis points to 2.5 percent.
Because the Bahraini dinar is pegged to the dollar, the Central Bank of Bahrain hiked its key policy rate on its one-week deposit facility by 50 basis points to 1.75 percent on Wednesday, in line with the US Federal Reserve’s hike.
