CNBC today released a report on how a small team of Apple started developing ideas on how to fight the pandemic. It was called Project Bubble.

In mid-March, with the release of Covid-19 in almost every country in the world, a small team from Apple started thinking about how it might help. […] Within weeks, the Apple project – dubbed “Bubble” had tens of employees backed by senior executives from two sponsors: Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering, and Jeff Williams, head of the company responsible for operations and de facto head of health care.
