“We really want to promote all the good work the children’s hospital does, which we want to help the children by fundraising. Personally, it’s just a thanks giving because I’m 75 years old and perfectly healthy,” Brewer said. Over the four-years, he projected to have raised $70,000.
Brewer said he was happy it was over, but he’s still ready to take on new fundraising challenges. Each city to Peoria formed a cross, the reason Brewer started this fundraiser. Brewer said he wanted to put a ‘blessing’ over the children in the hospital in hopes of healing them.
