UAE postpones Mars mission again due to weather at Japan launch base

The United Arab Emirates has delayed launching its mission to Mars for the second time due to weather conditions at its launch base in Japan, the government communications agency said on Wednesday.

A new launch date in July will be announced soon, the statement on Twitter said. The UAE has said that the launch window extends until August 3.

The UAE’s Hope Probe would be launched from Tanegashima Space Center in Japan on Wednesday (2051 GMT Tuesday) at 12:51 UAE for a seven-month trip to the red planet due to orbit sent back Earth and atmosphere data.
