Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, “While India is fighting Corona with social distance, we are happy to make a concerted online effort by using the Twitter Seva solution.”
Twitter Seva is a custom live search recovery service. Twitter Seva works on a dashboard that helps process large amounts of tweets, converts them into soluble tickets and assigns them to the relevant authority for real-time resolution.
Twitter Seva is an innovation first launched in India by the Ministry of Communications in 2016 in correspondence with Twitter India.
The main goal behind this was to help various ministries increase their Twitter reach and effectively manage the volume of tweets that came from citizens to address their issues.
The conversations are transparent and are intended to help a large number of people with common questions.
Users should note that it is only for broader questions and the public is not required to share personal contact information or health data.
“It is made possible by a team of experts who are trained and equipped to handle and respond to each question uniquely and at scale. This will enable us to establish a direct channel with Indian citizens and contact in real time with to include them to provide authoritative health and public information, “added Vardhan.
As of now, Twitter Seva is connected to many government organizations to help the citizens. Currently, Twitter Seva is used for citizen engagement by the Ministry of Commerce (@DIPPGOI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (@MEAIndia), the Ministry of Telecommunications (@Dot_India), the Ministry of Messages, MTNL, BSNL under the Ministry of Communications , the UP police (@Uppolice) and the Bengaluru police (@BlrCityPolice).
