Universal collects money source for a specific reason

Credit: Inside the Magic Below, you can see one of the many fountains at Universal, riddled with coins that will be donated to Give Kids the World. Give Kids the World is an Orlando-based charity that allows sick children and their families the ultimate vacation, providing them housing in their whimsical village, which allows them to enjoy all the local theme parks. Their website describes them as:

When at Universal, we noticed that the fountain by Seuss Landing announced that all the money thrown into the waters of Universal would be donated to Give Kids the World. Although the plaque may need a little bit of touching up, we can see that it notes “All Proceeds to Benefit Give Kids the World.” At Universal Orlando Resort, not only are there multiple lagoons and fountains that surround Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, but there are also many water rides that have coins dropped in. In case you ever wanted to know where that money goes, it is not back into the pockets of Universal, but to Give Kids the World!

Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 176,000 families from all 50 states and 76 countries. The Village is made possible by the support of generous donors and community partners, as well as thousands of passionate volunteers – who donate their time and talent making wishes come true. Credit: Give Kids The World A stay at the Village is much more than a vacation. During one transformative week, wish families laugh, play, and create priceless memories together away from hospital visits and medical procedures. It’s a magical week of “YES” where wish kids can experience the simple joys of childhood, and where families can recapture some of the precious moments that may have been missed due to illness.

Credit: Give Kids The World Rated Four Stars by Charity Navigator, Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida.
