To encourage students to get the COVID-19 vaccination, Penn State is offering incentives for individuals who are fully vaccinated and have shared their status with the University. From Monday, June 7, through Monday, Aug. 23, students who have uploaded their vaccine information through myUHS and completed the online opt-in form will be eligible for weekly prizes, including $1,000, a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card, or a football signed by Penn State football coach James Franklin. Students who have received their vaccine from UHS will not need to upload their proof of vaccination to myUHS; however, students will still need to complete the opt-in form. Students attending the vaccine clinic should bring their Penn State ID and their health insurance card. Insurance information also can be uploaded to myUHS ahead of the clinic. The vaccine is free to students; however, UHS will bill students’ health insurance for administration fees. Insurance information is not required to receive vaccination.
More information on the vaccine clinic can be found on the immunization clinic webpage. The second dose of the vaccine will be available on July 26 and July 27. It is important that students who attend the first-dose clinic are able to receive their second dose during these dates. The appointment for the second dose will be scheduled once students receive their first dose.
