Ola launched his services in the United Kingdom across Wales on Monday, including Cadiff, Newport, and Vale of Glamorgan. The ride-hailing application will allow customers to use private hire vehicles (PHV) and taxis (Black Cabs) on a user-friendly platform. To celebrate its launch in the UK, Bengaluru’s head office, Ola, offers its customers a limited number of discounts to try out its new service. Customers can download the Ola app from Google Play or iOS App Store and sign up to create an account to start booking trips.
The transportation platform offers commission rates of 10% for private car rental drivers and 5% for black taxis. It is the only mobile application in the south of the country to offer customers the opportunity to rent private vehicles and taxis on a user-friendly platform.
“This is an exciting time for everyone at Ola and we are very pleased that South Wales is the starting point for our trip to the UK. We will work closely with local authorities to help them achieve their mobility goals, “said Ben Legg, Managing Director of Ola UK.
Prior to that, Ola started operating in Australia in February 2018, where he now operates in seven major cities. The company has managed to register more than 40,000 drivers across the country and has made millions of trips since its launch.
