The Review on Dizo Wireless Neckband

It has become a common practice for technology brands to launch independent sub-brands to reach a wider consumer base in a large market like India. After Xiaomi (Redmi) and Vivo (iQOO), Realme has now introduced its first sub-brand Dizo in Techlife Ecosystem. Dizo will mainly focus on low-cost feature phones, accessories, smart home appliances, smart care and entertainment products.

PROS

Value for money Long lasting battery life Comfortable wearing experience Loud sound Delivery Supports Realme Link Companion app

CONS

Lacks AAC Codec support No multipoint support Overwhelming bass response

The first batch of Dizo products includes a pair of true wireless earbuds, a wireless neckband, feature phones (Star 500 & Star 300) and consumer products such as hair dryers and beard trimmers. Today we take a closer look at the ‘Dizo Wireless’ neckband. Priced at Rs. 1.499, the cheap wireless neckband is now up for sale on Flipkart.com at an introductory price of Rs. 1,299. Should you consider buying it? Let’s find out in our Dizo Wireless Neckband Review.

Specifications Dizo wireless neckband

11.2mm Drivers Weight – 23.1g Magnetic Fast Pair 150mAh Battery Game Mode (88ms Latency) Environmental Noise Canceling (ENC) IPX4 Water Resistant Realme Link App

Dizo Wireless Design & Wearing Experience

I have always preferred neckbands because of the ease of use they bring and their user-friendly design. For a good pair of wireless neckbands, the weight, material and form factor are very important. Fortunately, the Dizo Wireless gets most of these things right, even for a fairly low price. Weighing just 23.1g, the headset rests comfortably on the neck, thanks to the flexible plastic material with a textured rubber finish.

You can wear it longer without much discomfort. The in-ear earplugs are angled and sit comfortably in the ears without causing pain. Also, the tops stay in place and don’t fall off easily, even when you’re running or cycling. The overall build quality is good and is a notch above the competition.

The Dizo Wireless neckband is IPX4 water-dust resistant and is available in the colors orange, green, blue and black.

Sound quality

For its price, the Dizo Wireless sounds pretty decent and serves well for voice calls too. The sound produced is loud and captivating. Powered by 11.2mm drivers, the neckband produces powerful bass and decent highs; however, the thumping bass can be overwhelming if you’re not a bass top. Fortunately, you can customize the sound profiles from within the realme link companion app. The application offers three presets: Dynamic, Bright and Bass Boost+.

You should disable the Bass Boost+ preset if you don’t like boomy bass reproduction, as the bass simply overwhelms other audio frequencies in the bass boost+ mode. The bass still leaks to other frequencies despite turning on dynamic and clear presets, meaning there’s not much you can do to fine-tune the audio on these budget earbuds. You have to rely on your music app’s built-in equalizer to adjust the audio output. The dynamic preset worked well for us on most of the genres we listened to on the Dizo Wireless. The bright preset focuses largely on enhancing the treble. How effective is the ENC? How effective is the ENC?

Moving on, the smartphone app also offers a volume-boosting mode that comes in handy if you’re traveling on public transport with a lot of unwanted ambient noise. The increase in volume is significant and makes audio quite audible even in a noisy environment.

Dizo also relies heavily on the ENC feature; however, it’s just not very effective at suppressing outside noise. Due to the combination of a good in-ear fit of the earplugs and average ENC, the neckband offers good sound insulation. If you can afford a few extra hundreds, the Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphone Pro could be a good option. The neckband costs Rs. 1,799 and offers both ANC and ENC. Battery life and connectivity Battery life and connectivity

While battery life largely depends on your usage pattern, the Dizo Wireless can easily last 12-14 hours with heavy use. The 150mAh battery takes about two hours to charge from empty to 100% and lasts about 10 hours when streaming music at 80-100% volume. If you use the neckband judiciously, they can even last up to 15 hours, which is pretty good. In terms of connectivity, the neckband runs on Bluetooth 5.0 and maintains a solid connection to smart devices including Android and iOS devices and Windows PCs.

Unfortunately, there’s no multipoint support, which means you can’t pair these earphones with two devices at once. Finally, I would have preferred AAC codec support, but it seems to be asking too much at this price. Fortunately, we didn’t experience any problems with these SBC-supported wireless earphones.

For an introductory price of Rs. 1,299, the Dizo Wireless is a good pair of the wireless neckband. The neckband is comfortable to wear and produces captivating audio for its low price. The long battery life and companion Realme Link app are a good thing features. Importantly, the combination of a good in-ear fit, volume enhancer and ENC leads to commendable passive noise isolation, which is hard to find at this price. The Dizo Wireless can be purchased from Flipkart.com.
