There is even more problem with Red's first smartphone, Hydrogen One, the manufacturer of the camera. Company founder Jim Jannard announced today that the titanium version phone was delayed. The aluminum version seems to be on track for still going out in October. Jannard believes that this delay is due to supply chain issues and the inability of external manufacturers to create enough devices to cover all pre-orders.
Meanwhile, he wrote that all titanium customers receive Aluminum Hydrogen 1 at launch. When titanium becomes available, he can take it and hold the first phone. This does not tell how long it will take to get this titanium mobile phone. The device was delayed several times. Originally planned to be shipped this summer, it was later pumped until late summer, now pre-October and November scheduled. We will see what will happen as the days come closer.
