Battery Life
HP claims 12 hours of runtime from the 6-cell, 42 WHr battery supplied with the EliteBook Folio 1040 G1, which is way more than expected from a notebook of this size. Although, it may not last so long while using in the real world. At mid-level brightness, we found 7-8 hours which was more realistic.
It contains a non-user-replaceable battery, because of which you can’t switch it out for a full pack if the need arises. That may be a deal-creakier for serious road warriors.

HP says that the EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 is the thinnest business laptop from its product range and although I also like faith, well I’m not particularly impressed with the size. The laptop measures according to HP 1.6 centimeters in height, even I can not agree after a measurement. It seems that HP measurement performed at a favorable point and that the rubber feet which is not included, that saves a few millimeters.
Display
The EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 has a 14-inch screen which is an average display size for Notebook. Notebook with screens this size strikes a good balance between having a large enough display while still being considered “portable.” This Notebook’s screen has nice picture quality, and therefore should be good for entertainment.
