Samsung launches its Galaxy Folder 2 flip-phone

You will be an overlooked for assuming that Samsung’s upcoming clamshell had already launched. As yet, the sequel to the original Galaxy Folder has not been introduced. Still, whether you are waiting on its launch or would similar to another have a look at this rarest of beasts.

Samsung has simply made the Galaxy Folder 2 official by listing it on its website. The smartphone, as the name submit, is a flip phone, and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Up to now, the Galaxy Folder 2 has been only listed on its China website, where it’s expected to go on sale first.

The Galaxy Folder 2 sports design just like its predecessor, It comes with a few changes in the new metallic silver color option and keypad. The Android flip phone has a metal body, a physical keypad, and an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

As for the specs, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 sports a 3.8-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA display. A 1.4GHz quad-core controls it Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone provides 16GB of inbuilt storage that’s further expandable via microSD card slot (up to 128GB).

It will come with the 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Additionally, it sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It also has a 1950mAh battery which is considered to give up to 318 hours of standby time. It weighs in at 160 grams and measures 122×60.2×15.4mm. It includes options for Connectivity is GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE and Bluetooth v4.2. If the smartphone will come in international markets, there’s no word.

Galaxy Folder 2

Currently, the South Korean consumer electronics giant is embroiled in an unsuccessful controversy after many Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units reportedly exploded whereas on charge. Samsung immediately suspended worldwide sales and introduced an exchange provide as well. The company demands that the fault is in the SDI battery, apparently housed in about 70 percent of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices.
