Samsung was the only OLED display provider of iPhone X, the only company that can meet Apple's stringent technical specifications and quality standards, but all changes can be seen on the iPhone Xs / Max …
Korea Herald LG is currently officially confirmed as a secondary supplier of flexible OLED displays used in iPhone Xs and Xs Max.
According to officials, LGD 's sixth generation flexible OLED panel recently passed a series of quality tests. In addition, at this exhibition, we are preparing to start mass production of OLED panels on two production lines of E6 plant.
Apple generally wishes to split parts orders between at least two suppliers to improve supply chain reliability and improve trading position. Ideally it would be even desirable for Samsung and LG to realize half of the screen and even pay $ 2.7 billion to make a production exclusive line on the iPhone, but LG struggled to reach Apple's desired amount I guess.
The report has so far suggested that LG will make 2-5 million screens in its initial production.
