Samsung Teases The Galaxy A8s With A Camera Hole In The Screen

Earlier in the day, Samsung came to China to announce the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A9 (the Chinese version of the new Galaxy A9). In an unexpected decision, however, the company announced a third device, the Galaxy A8, which will be available shortly.

Samsung did not give specific details of what to expect from the smartphone in terms of specifications or features, but claimed that it would be equipped with a "technology" first time application.

Once again, Samsung did not elaborate on the question, but then provided a very futuristic teaser image of the smartphone, reminiscent of a full-screen design.

In fact, according to the Ice Universe ToolTip, this "first" technology will be a new screen with a small hole located in one of the upper corners or towards the center and able to point the camera forward.

This screen would also adopt a new aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 and leave a small aperture above and below the panel large enough to accommodate the in-ear speaker and any other necessary sensor.

Samsung has not yet confirmed when the Galaxy A8 will reach consumers, but according to the latest information, the smartphone will be marketed in January.
