Uber launches new app and digital wallet in Brazil

The company also launched Uber Cash, a digital wallet for unpaid people. This allows you to add credits in advance by purchasing a prepaid card at your super store. This application, which can also be used with debit cards and credit cards, allows users to pay travel and meals at Uber Eats.

"We need to accept more payment methods because we want all of Brazil to provide access to Uber, but today's experience will be much easier," said Rob Daniel, Financial Product Director Says.

In addition, the company announced that it will launch a new version of Uber Pool in Brazil, Uber Pool will provide passenger and driver meeting points and reduce passenger travel costs by up to 30%. The company also announced a partnership with fintech Zen Finance for microcredit to adapt the vehicle to use compressed natural gas as a cheaper alternative fuel.

This announcement follows the last month's announcement that Uber will invest A $ 250 million (US $ 61 million) in a new Brazil-based technology development center specializing in security products over the next five years. . This center will focus on applications such as real-time data processing, advanced telematics, machine learning and mobile development.
