Introduction
American smartphone manufacturer InFocus’s latest smartphone is trying to hit the right note with Indian buyers demanding affordable nice-looking smartphones with big screens. Infocus launched the M680 an octa-core powered smartphone with 4G LTE support. The Infocus M680 sports a 5.5-inch FHD screen and comes loaded with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Infocus M680 will be available in two more Gold and Silver color choices.

This phablet is covered with a metallic shell which gets a soft gold end on the highest. The slim profile smartphone is just 7.2mm thick making it comfy to hold. Excellently handicraft device is linear contours on the sides dazzle with the diamond cutting edges. With the 158 grams weight of battery and dimensions are 76.81 x 155.02 x 7.33 (mm). The power button and SIM tray are on the right side, the volume rocker is on the left, audio jack on top and micro USB port + Speaker out the vent at the bottom.
M680 is a dual SIM handset SIM 1 is a nano SIM slot and SIM 2 is a hybrid slot – you can either use a nano SIM in SIM slot 2 or a micro SD card. There are dual Mics.
Display
The M680 comes with a 5.5-inch display with 1920x1020p screen resolution. Though it’s adequate for reading e-books and web browsers, during HD videos the screen looks a bit dull in terms of colour vibrancy. The screen is a bit too reflective to be used comfortably under bright sunlight. The M680 allows users to customize the colour tint of the display between slightly warmer yellow or the more natural looking white, and that makes it comfier to use.
Camera
We’re quite impressed with both the cameras of M680. M680 is the only device which comes with 13MP rear as well as 13MP front snapper. The rear camera is placed on the left side of the back with LED flash. Both front and rear camera come with F2.2 aperture and Samsung 3M2 sensor. The rear camera comes with different modes such as Normal, Motion Track, Live Photo and Panorama. The front snapper also has Normal as well as Face beauty mode for clicking good selfies and selfie clickers will love this feature.
Performance
The InFocus M680 runs on the 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor and can handle regular tasks pretty easily. If you are a gamer, then this isn’t the perfect device to go for, but it’s better than many others.
Software
The InFocus M680 runs Android 5.1 with a massively altered custom user interface. It allows users to play around with the interface, arrange apps in the app drawer according to name, frequency of use and time of installation and even change the structure from app drawer mode to no app drawer mode.
Memory
There is 2GB RAM and 16GB storage + micro SD support. On the first boot, you’ll get about 10GB free internal storage space and 1.1GB free RAM. Apps are getting installed on internal storage.
Battery
Infocus M680 comes with 2600 mAh battery which can provide about 12 hours of battery life on regular usage. The M680’s battery life, though not the best, is above average and allows you to get through a work day. It’s still not the a full day’s value of the battery, though. On half an hour of gaming, the phone loses about 7-8% battery, which is quite good for a phone in this price range.
Verdict
Overall the Infocus M680 looks promising, a very good handset in terms of build quality, performance and finishing. Camera quality is average and battery backup is decent enough. Overall a good package, for a price tag of ₹10,999.
