The LG V20 is ready to launch at an event in San Francisco at 6 pm PT on Tuesday (6:30 am IST on Wednesday), the successor to the LG V10.

The LG V20 has been leaked with a full list of specs, detailing nearly everything about the smartphone over the official details which have been teased. Based on the newly leaked specifications, the LG V20 smartphone will feature a 16-megapixel dual camera at the back. The LG V20 will be controlled by a Snapdragon 820 processor and will include 4GB of RAM and will also be supported by a massive 4000mAh battery.

In true LG style, the company revealed several snippets of details about the LG V20 before its official debut. However, we now have confirmation of all the features and details surrounding the latest handset. Everything you have to know about the LG V20.


LG V20

The LG V20 comes with a metal body that has been produced from lightweight aluminum and light silicone-based materials. It provides a thin bezel, and it comes with MIL-STD 810G drop shield, which should mean it is ready to withstand drops as much as 4ft.

There’s a dual camera on the rear that remains at the top in a slightly raised oval housing, with a circular fingerprint sensor placed under it. The V20 logo is at the bottom.

There’s a camera on the front, together with a dual display, both of which can be seen on the V10.

It measures 159.7 x 78.2 x 7.6mm, and it hits the scales at 174g. USB Type-C is on board as several expected, and the new device comes with a removable battery like the company’s G5.

Like the V10, The new device also comes with a secondary display. It measures 2.1-inches and also has a resolution of 1040 x 160 for a pixel density of 513ppi, which is similar to the previous device.

The LG V20 is thrown as a smartphone for comfortable creators, with a real concentrate on the video and audio. The secondary display on the LG V20 gets with a font size that’s 50 % larger font size compared to the V10, getting it easier to view notifications and warnings at a glance.

This smartphone is controlled by a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 SoC that comes with 4 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage variants that may be expanded up to 256 GB via micro-SD card. LG V20 comes with the Google In Apps search function with LG UX 5.0+ and also has an Android 7.0 Nougat, It also features the Multi-window mode, that makes you run two apps side-by-side.

The LG V20 features a dual rear camera setup, an 8-megapixel 135-degree angle lens, and a 16 megapixel 75-degree angle lens. The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel 120-degree angle lens on the front. The LG V20’s Hybrid Auto Focus (HAF) integrates three AF mechanisms –Phase Detection AF, Laser Detection AF, and Contrast Detection AF – for each video and images.

LG V20

Google and LG confirmed the LG V20 would be the first device to launch on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.

This will be skinned with LG’s UX 5.0+, an update version of the software on the LG G5. It’ll support a multi-window display, which means you’ll be able to stay productive, searching Twitter while following Google Maps.

Also, LG V20 supports Google In-App, an extra feature of Android 7.0. It allows the user to search inside Google’s own and third-party applications for people. You can use it to find a particular message thread in Facebook Messenger, for example. That second screen is also enhanced, providing an expanded notifications function, give you tap a button to open longer messages for easier reading.

When it comes to pricing, Across Electronics lists the dual-SIM LG V20 with a price tag of $799.99 USD.
The LG V20 phablet will be formally announced in San Francisco on September 6. The report stresses that the only important similarity is the removable battery part. Otherwise, the remaining is an entirely different story.

It is a nice option for people who are looking for a small device with a nice camera quality. But, the battery life is a bit less for meeting your entire day condition.
