The Epson EcoTank ET-2850 All-in-One Printer is the best choice for your family’s home office when it comes to eco-friendly ink. The EcoTank ET-2850 promises to “exceed your vision” in terms of overall value and print quality, at least according to the box. It has an innovative ink system that doesn’t use cartridges and performs very well.
It’s a great all-in-one printer that everyone in the family can use. It’s much smarter than the inkjet printers of the past. It fits right into our list of the best printers.
Thanks to the wonders of mobile tech, setting up your printer is no longer a tedious task. After taking the ET-2850 out of its box, all you had to do was plug it in, download the Epson Smart Panel app, turn the printer on, and follow the steps on my phone. (Epson also gives you a CD to install Windows if your computer has a CD drive. From what I’ve tried, though, it’s easier to just use your phone if you can.)

Where to get Epson EcoTank ET-2850 printer?
This is where Epson’s new line of printers stands out, because you have to fill the ink tanks by hand, just like a real techie. (Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as you might think.) This process takes a little longer than changing traditional ink cartridges, but it’s surprisingly satisfying to do it yourself because you can watch the ink reservoirs fill up one by one. (Just make sure you put the right ink in the right reservoir!)
Then all you have to do is connect to WiFi, wait for “ink initialization” to finish (this takes about ten minutes), align the printer head, update the firmware, and that’s it. Everything was set up in less than half an hour. If you use Windows like I do, you should get everything for your desktop.
If you turn the printer around, you’ll find a port for a host USB cable and a port for an AC adapter. That’s it. I like how simple this is, but a USB memory port or SD Card slot would be nice for fast file transfers, especially since cheaper printers like the OfficeJet Pro 9015e already have these features.
The 100-sheet document feeder that can print on both sides is easy to miss because it is accessible through a hidden panel in the back. When you lift the main cover, you’ll find the glass scanning area underneath. There’s also an output tray on the front that can be pulled out. Overall, it’s a neat, collapsible package that looks good and is easy as hell to use.
