In a sea of robot vacuums, the Narwal T10 really stands out. Others may say that they are great vacuums with a mopping feature added on, but it seems like the T10 is a great mopping robot with a vacuuming feature added on. That doesn’t mean the T10 isn’t a good vacuum cleaner, but it does have trouble in some situations, especially when it comes to carpet.
Because there isn’t a roller brush under the vacuum, things that get stuck in your carpet, even if it has a low pile, are likely to stay there because the T10 doesn’t have enough suction power to pull them out. On hard floors, things are much better, so you’ll be fine if you don’t have any carpeting or area rugs in your home.

Narwal T10 review: Design

The Narwal T10 isn’t shaped like a circle like most robot vacuum cleaners. Instead, it looks like a soft “D.” The robot has a LIDAR sensor in the back that it uses to map its surroundings. It also has a laser mapping algorithm built in. The soft bumper in front of the robot keeps it from crashing into things or furniture, and it also helps the robot learn how to avoid obstacles in the future.
When you open the T10’s lid, you’ll see just two buttons: one to turn the computer vacuum on and one to quickly stop or end the cleaning job it’s doing. You’ll also find the 0.1-gallon dust bin and a hidden brush cutter here. The brush cutter lets you clean the filters and get any hair or fibers out of them. You can buy this Narwal T10 from its official website.
Narwal T10 review: Mopping performance
The Narwal T10 is a unique robot that can both sweep and vacuum. It has separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, which you can switch out very easily. Unlike many other robot vacuums or mops, the mopping pads on this one actually move instead of just sitting there.
Its docking station cleans and dries its mopping pads, so it shouldn’t track dirty water around your house when it cleans. Still, its vacuuming setup isn’t quite finished, since it doesn’t have a brushroll to stir up the surface.
Narwal T10 review: Vacuuming performance

Narwhals, which are called the unicorns of the sea, don’t live on land. Even though it’s called the Narwal T10, it works really well as a mop but not so well as a vacuum. In our lab tests, it got an overall average score of 63.42. It scored much lower than its closest competitor, the iLife A11, which got a score of 72.15 on average. During our tests, Cheerios clogged up the intake vent so much that an error message came up.
Narwal T10 review: Battery Life
The battery life was another thing we liked about this floor cleaner. It can mop for 2.5 hours on a full charge, which is longer than most robot vacuums. That should be enough to clean most floor plans, but don’t worry if your cleaner has to go back to base. If the robot’s battery dies in the middle of vacuuming, it doesn’t have to be fully charged again before it can finish the job. The robot will charge the right amount based on how much cleaning still needs to be done.
Narwal T10 review: Price and availability
On the other hand, for $945, you can get an iRobot Roomba i7 robot vacuum and a Braava Jet m6 robot mop. But then we would have to charge and clean two different devices, which would be more work. The price of the T10 is high, but it’s worth it because it has a much larger cleaning capacity, cleans itself, and cleans better than other models we’ve tested.
Final Words
We really hoped that the Narwal T10 would blow me away. It is a very creative machine that tries to solve the problem of robotic sweeping without having to constantly fill up a water tank. It’s too bad that its app is hard to use. Even though there are ways to get around it, we wouldn’t trust this machine to clean my house on its own. For $1,049., not only should the apps be better and give you more confidence to avoid carpets, but the vacuum should also work better.

FAQS
Can Narwal clean carpet?
The Narwal T10 works well on carpets with a low pile. Because it doesn’t have a brushroll, it has a hard time sucking up small and large pieces of dirt that are stuck in the carpet fibers. Still, it seems to be very well made and has a long battery life, so it can clean big rooms without running out of power.
How does Narwal work?
There is a snap-in tray with two spinning brushes for vacuuming. As it moves, the spinning brushes pull dirt into the middle cleaning path and put it in the dust bin. There are two spinning pads that get wet with clean water as the machine works.
