The only difference between the Rival 3 and the Rival 3 Wireless is that the Rival 3 Wireless doesn’t have a cord. It’s just a little bit bigger and taller than the original, which was 1.34 by 2.63 by 4.64 inches. It measures 1.44 by 2.63 by 4.88 inches (HWD). The Rival 3 Wireless is a pretty simple six-button gaming mouse. It is made of matte black plastic, and the only RGB lighting is in the scroll wheel. It has two click buttons, a scroll wheel, and a button in the middle column that cycles through the DPI presets. There are back and forward macros on the side. The bottom panel slides off to show two places to put AAA batteries and a place to put the 2.4 GHz wifi dongle.

Where to get SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless Gaming Mouse?
The Rival 3 Wireless is a lot larger than the first one. It weighs 3.74 ounces instead of 2.86 ounces. In all honesty, most wireless mice are heavier than their wired counterparts because they have more parts. To make up for this, the mouse only needs one battery, which brings its weight down to 3.14 ounces. Giving people the option to play with only one battery to reduce their effect on performance is a great feature, especially for a mouse that looks like it was made to encourage competitive play.
Like the regular Rival 3, the Wireless has a slim shape and sides that are made of hard plastic. The shape is made for “claw” and “fingertip” players, who don’t rest their hand on the bottom of the mouse and don’t care about how comfortable it is to use. With the first mouse, the slope of the base was too thin to hold it palm-style without actively gripping it, and the hard edge on the right side made it hard to put your ring finger in a comfortable position.
The Rival 3 Wireless is much better than the first one once you get past the way it looks. SteelSeries has replaced its cheap TrueMove Core sensor, which was amazing for what it could do given that the Rival 3 costs only $30. The SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless has a new TrueMove Air sensor that can track up to 18,000 DPI and is accurate up to 400 inches per second. These are good numbers for any wireless mouse, not just one that is easy or cheap.
