The NexiGo PJ20 is constructed around a single LCD, similar to the Leisure 995W and other compact Vankyo projectors we have seen. However, it lacks the red/green/blue bursts, also known as “rainbow artifacts,” that are typical of single-chip projectors. The artifacts occur when the primary colors are displayed sequentially rather than simultaneously. When your eye moves or something on the screen moves, each of the primary colors in a small, bright area can fall on a distinct portion of your retina. Some people don’t observe when this occurs, while others can see each color.

Where to get NexiGo PJ20?
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]The PJ20 does not have sequentially lit red, green, and blue LEDs. It has a white LED light source and a 5760-by-1,080 LCD instead. Red, green, and blue filters on each cell of the LCD matrix send the red, green, and blue components of each pixel in the 1,920-by-1,080 image to the screen simultaneously. When all three basic colors are displayed simultaneously, it is impossible to tell what each pixel is composed of from a sufficient distance away. The white LED is designed to last as long as the projector’s 30,000-hour lifespan.
With dimensions of 4.25 by 12.6 by 9.1 inches (HWD) and a weight of 5.5 pounds, the PJ20 is larger than its most apparent competitor, but its installation is essentially identical to that of any other small projector. You only need to connect the power cord and a video source, position the lens at the screen, move the projector (there is no zoom) to adjust the image size, and then focus.
On the rear panel are two HDMI 1.4 ports and two USB Type-A ports, which can be used to retrieve files from a USB memory key or to power a streaming dongle inserted into one of the HDMI ports. The projector is also compatible with wireless connections, such as DLNA and Windows Cast, and it can mirror Android and iOS mobile devices and tablets.
