The Astro Gaming A10 has been a good choice for a low-cost wired gaming headset for a long time, but it’s getting old and there’s a lot of competition in the sub-$100 price range. Now, five years later, Astro Gaming has totally overhauled the A10. The A10 Gen 2 looks and sounds better than the first version, but it costs the same.
The new A10, which comes in black, white, gray, lilac, and green, still has an all-plastic frame, but it takes some design ideas from the A40 and A50 to make it fit better and look sleeker than its predecessor. Now, the earcups are made of two pieces. Round, rectangular plastic rings hold the earpads against backs with the same shape. Like the A40 and A50, the earcup backs have vertical arms that connect to the cap and slide up and down to make the fit better. The wide, lightweight headband capably spreads the headset’s weight and pressure.

Where to get ASTRO Gaming A10 headset?
The A10 fits securely and is even more comfortable than the earlier A10 because of its floating earcups and vertically sliding struts. Instead of felt, the earpads are now made of a soft, breathable cloth, and there is a lot of soft memory foam under it. Wide padding under the cap matches the material and makes sure that the headset never feels too tight on the head.
The boom mic is attached to the back of the left earcup and has a long, bendy rubber arm. On the bottom edge of the earcup is a 3.5mm port that lets you connect the headset to the 6.6-foot cord that comes with it. The cord ends in a four-pole, 3.5mm plug and has an in-line remote with a volume wheel. Also included is a 3.5mm splitter adapter that you can use if your PC has different ports for headphones and microphones. The A10 doesn’t have many fancy extras, but I liked that the 6.5-foot cord could be removed and had a volume slider on it. The computer version of the A10 comes with a splitter wire that you can use to connect the microphone and headphones jacks on your computer.
