The Apple TV App Arrives On Roku

by znipto Pro

The Apple TV app, which hosts Apple TV +, the technology giant’s next streaming service, is starting to be deployed on Roku devices in Canada today.

At the company’s main presentation in March, the service would be available on Roku, on Fire TVs and a ton of smart TVs, as well as on the Apple TV set-top box, on other Apple devices and the Web. So far, it has not been launched on any platform other than Apple products. If your Roku device supports the new application, you can download it from the Roku channel store.

A list of the supported devices can be found on the Roku support page. To find out if your device is compatible, go to Settings> System> About. The application will be similar to the AppleTV decoder version, but it will not be a source of content for other applications on the Roku platform. Users will still be able to rent and watch content from the Apple Video Store and subscribe to Apple TV channels.
