So, we’ve put together a list of the best SNES games for iPhone ever. We only looked for games that were good when they came out, were original, could be played again, and changed the industry. After fighting with each other for weeks and a lot of hours, we were able to figure out how to rank the games by thinking back to our childhoods and talking about our Virtual Console experiences. The SNES could be argued to be the best video game console ever made.
In 1990, Nintendo came out with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was based on the success of the NES, and in North America, it was up against the Sega Genesis, which was a tough competitor. But the best games for the SNES helped it earn a place in history. It has some of the best role-playing games, platformers that can’t be beat, and action-adventure games that helped make the genre what it is today. So, let’s get started: Here’s our list of the best SNES games for iPhone ever.
Best SNES Games For iPhone
Chrono Trigger

When we started making this list, we knew it would be easy to choose role-playing games (RPGs) because most of them are turn-based. But we didn’t want to make this whole video about SNES RPGs, since there are about 12 million of them. It was hard to pick just one RPG from that large collection.
Even though we love Shadowrun, we can’t picture playing it on a touchscreen. No, we chose Chrono Trigger because it works well with the touchscreen interface. Chrono Trigger is a great SNES game for Android touch screens because of the music, the pace, and the way it gets harder as you play. You can download from Apple store.
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

Another type of game that does well on the SNES is a scrolling beat ’em up. People talk about Final Fight, Knights of the Round, Double Dragon, and Spider-Man. On the other hand, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles IV: Turtles in Time is one of these pretty difficult games.
This SNES game is simple, but it’s still a lot of fun. Pick your favourite Hero in a Half Shell and kick Foot Soldier tail in ten different time periods. Turtles in Time is an easy SNES game that can be played on a touch screen before moving on to harder games like Battletoads.
Pop n’ Twinbee

We tried to include at least one difficult SNES game on this list. Really, though, Super Probotector is hard enough, and we don’t even want to think about playing Super Star Wars on a touch screen.
Since there are a lot of shmups on the SNES and my main man, Raff, likes them, it took us a long time to decide on… Pop n’ Twinbee. That’s right, Pop n’ Twinbee isn’t the most intense shooter on the SNES, but we thought it stood out because of its cute style, simple gameplay, and great graphics.
Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse

A game must look nice, work well with a touchscreen, and, most importantly, be fun to play. We picked the great Mickey Mouse movie Magical Quest because Disney made it. Not too long ago, we made a list of the best old Disney games, and World of Illusion was on it. This is a true Disney classic that will be played repeatedly. The best SNES game to play on a touch screen is Magical Quest, because it’s easy to use and has all the magic you’d expect from a Disney game.
Eclipse

Eclipse is a new emulator that is getting a lot of attention because it is easy to set up and can’t be taken away. To add the app to your Home Screen, just go to the Eclipse website on your iPhone or iPad and follow the instructions, making sure not to click on any ads. Then, you can start the emulator by tapping the app icon that comes up.
If you haven’t already downloaded your own ROMs, you can use the Game Hub to install libraries through Eclipse so you can start playing games right away. There are even libraries that only have games that have been changed so that you can play the same games in a different way. Like the other emulators we’ve discussed, Eclipse lets you save your game progress and skip over the boring parts.
Mortal Kombat II

The violence and blood in the first Mortal Kombat game shocked people. On the other hand, the second part was surprising because it was a great fighting game. Even though the early Mortal Kombat games aren’t as good as they used to be, they were still great when they came out.
It was different because there was a lot of blood and violence, and it was also one of the first games that felt like a “adult” experience. In retrospect, they were more childish than “mature,” but the Mortal Kombat series and games like Doom pushed the limits of what was appropriate for older audiences and made video games more fun for them.
Shadowrun

People remember the SNES as a great place to play Japanese role-playing games, but one of its best RPGs had nothing to do with crystals, castles, or magic. Made in the United States, too. Shadowrun was based on a game with the same name played on a table. It was different from other games at the time because it took place in an unusual place and was played like an action movie.
The game was set in a cyberpunk city in the year 2050, and the plot was loosely based on the crime-noir plot of Robert N. Charrette’s novel Never Deal with a Dragon. Even though there were elves, orcs, samurai, wizards, and other fantasy elements, they were given a futuristic twist. Shadowrun also didn’t work like most other role-playing games for consoles at the time.
Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts

Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts looks just like any other side-scrolling platform game at first glance. But if you try to play the hard, never-ending levels of the game like you would Super Mario, your controller will break. Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts is a hard game. Your controlled character moves slowly and is easy to kill.
You have enemies coming at you from all sides, and deadly obstacles appear out of nowhere to hurt and annoy you. But Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts is a good game for the most part. Everything can be learned and perfected, from how enemies move to when to jump. We felt like we had done something great when we learned how to play Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts.
Final Words
So, we made a list of the best SNES games for iPhone that you can play on your iPhone, iPad, or tablet. If you just want to play some old games on the bus or while taking a long break at work on the khazi, you don’t want to mess around with touch controls that the non-haptic screen just can’t give you. There are a lot of crazy fun SNES games that should work well on a touchscreen.
