This OXO choice is a Best Spiralizers because it’s strong and works well. Even though the OXO machine was made of moulded plastic and had a hand crank, suction cups, and three blades for spaghetti, fettuccine, and ribbon cuts, it worked better than every other model we tried. It was easy to put together, the base felt stronger, the suction grip held on better, the crank worked well with all kinds of fruits and vegetables, and it turned more smoothly and with less force.
What change was made to the design to make the pressure better? This OXO model doesn’t have a small suction cup at each corner of the base. Instead, it has a large suction cup on the bottom that connects and detaches with a lever and holds better. The spiralizer is easy to clean after use. The body is easy to wipe down, and the blades can be put in the dishwasher.

This Paderno spiralizer was a strong contender because it was sturdy, had strong suction to keep it in position on the counter, and had blades that were razor sharp. It might be able to compete with the OXO Good Grips 3-Blade Spiralizer if you have enough room in your kitchen for both of them.
A couple of disclaimers: the suction, while powerful, still required occasional adjusting, and after prolonged usage, the blades would occasionally become clogged, necessitating a little bit of additional cleaning.
The Good
- It comes with a lot of different blades for different kinds of cuts.
- enough to take care of most vegetables
- Strong and well-made
- Simple to clean
The Bad
- uses up a lot of space on the counter
- Some users said it was hard to change the blades.

Even though the base of the Brieftons Best Spiralizers looks almost the same as the bases of the Spiralizer and Paderno models, it just didn’t work as well. First, it comes with five stainless steel blades that are similar to angel hair, spaghetti, fettuccine, pappardelle, and ribbons, but none of them are labelled or color-coded.
Only three of them can be stored, and one of them had a rust-like stain on it when I opened the box that didn’t come off when I washed it. Also, it was hard to put and take out the frames for the blades. All of the other tables spiralizers we tried were easy to change frames on, but this one was hard. You have to jiggle a lip in the back to get the frames in and out, and we were afraid we’d cut a finger.
The Good
- It has different blades for different kinds of cuts.
- Strong and well-made, it’s big enough to handle most vegetables.
- Simple to clean
The Bad
- Some users said that the suction cups weren’t strong enough to keep the unit in place while it was being used.
