Users of the iPhone and iPad can Enable Safari Do Not Track setting for Safari on their iOS devices. This is a feature that is meant to stop web services from tracking and targeting users based on how they browse the web. When this is turned on, Safari will send a DNT request to each page it visits so that any services on that page won’t track the client. This doesn’t mean that the request will be honored, though, as we’ll explain in a moment.
Even so, users who care about privacy may still want to turn on the option, even though it may not work as well as blocking third-party cookies in Safari for iOS. Any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7 or later can change this setting. This setting is also available for Mac users who use Safari on OS X. Users of the Chrome and Firefox browsers also have similar options in their apps’ settings, but we’re going to focus on the Safari browser because it comes with iOS.
Enable Safari Do Not Track on iPhone and iPad
- Go to Settings > Safari.
- Enter your Screen Time Passcode. Depending on your iOS version, you may be required to enter your passcode in the previous step. (What if you forgot the passcode?) Your children might also be looking for some screen time passcode hacks on the internet, it’s best to get to know them to stay a step ahead.
- Scroll down to the Privacy & Security section. Then turn on Do Not Track.
What Is Safari?
Safari is the browser that comes with Mac and iOS from Apple. There are a lot of browsers to choose from besides Safari because the market for browsers has become very competitive. The question is whether you should. Find out by reading our review of Safari.
Safari is Apple’s built-in web browser and has been around since 2003. It’s used by all Mac and iPhone users. Even though Apple has updated Safari 15 times, that doesn’t mean it’s the best browser out there. After all, there is a lot of competition in the market for browsers. Should Apple users always use Safari? Well, our review of Safari will help you decide.
In the end, we think Safari depends on what you want to do. Safari is probably enough if you like Apple products and want to browse the web for fun and research. But if you want a more personalized, enhanced, and customized way to browse the web, you might want to look at other providers.
