How To Get Sprint MSL Code: MSL (Master Subsidiary Lock) codes are 6-digit codes unique to individual CDMA phones. They are only needed to get into a phone’s technical settings, such as to do a custom factory reset.
The MSL code is one of the two six-digit codes used in CDMA phones. MSL stands for “master subsidy lock.” The other code is the SPC, which stands for “one-time service programming code.” This code is only used to set up a wireless service for the phone.
Steps To Get Sprint MSL Code
- Open the Web browser on your computer. Enter
- “Enter” to start downloading the GetSPC tool. Select a location where to save the file, and press the “Save” button.
- Extract the contents of the archive in a folder on your hard disk drive. Three files will be created: GetSPC(PPC 2003).exe, GetSPC.exe and PPST_KeyGen.dll.
- Connect the phone to your computer by using the USB data transfer cable that came with the phone. Copy all three files from your computer to the phone’s storage card. Disconnect the phone from the computer.
- Turn off the phone, remove the back cover and remove the battery. Write down the ESN found behind the battery. Place the battery back into the phone and put the back cover back into place.
- Turn on the phone, and open its file browser. Navigate to the storage card, highlight the GetSPC(PPC 2003) file, and select Open or Run, depending on your phone model. If you have a touchscreen phone, tap on the GetSPC(PPC 2003) file to start the app.
- Enter the ESN code in the Input field. Use all caps for all letters (12AB instead of 12ab).
- Press the “Go” button, and wait for the program to output the MSL code. You will see it in the “Output” field.
