Modern versions of Mac OS X let you move the Spotlight search window around the screen, which is great if you want to Move Spotlight Search Bar on Mac or because you’d rather it be in the corner of the screen than in the middle. How to Move Spotlight Search Bar on Mac
To open Spotlight, press Command + Spacebar on your keyboard. It will always be in the middle. To move it, click and drag the Spotlight search bar to where you want it to be while holding down the Command key. It doesn’t dock to any of the screen’s corners or edges. If you let go of the mouse button, the search bar will stay where it is. You can close it, and the next time you open Spotlight, it will start where it was last closed.
If you don’t like the fact that Spotlight no longer opens in the middle of the screen, you can move it back there. To move it back to the middle, click and hold the Spotlight icon (the search bar) for a few seconds. It will then move back to the middle. When you open it again, it will only open halfway.
