Even though MacBook’s have dynamic desktops, we can only use the old screensavers. But Apple lets you use a third-party app to help you choose from images or videos that have already been installed. • Download SaveHollywood from its official website, and save it to your Mac. Double-click on the downloaded “.dmg” file, and it will launch.
• When the app launches, double-click on the file named “SaveHollywood.saver” to install it.
•  On the following screen you will be asked what users you wish to have access to the screen saver. You can select either yourself or all the users on the Mac. If you are going for the latter choipe, you will be asked to enter the administrator username and password.
• After the screen saver is installed, you need to configure it from your Mac’s settings. To do that, click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner and select “System Preferences…” to be taken to your Mac’s settings panel.
• Click on “Desktop & Screen Saver” on the screen that follows to customize your screen saver settings.
• On the following screen, click on “Screen Saver” to go to the screen saver tab. Once there, scroll down in the screen savers list and choose the one that says “SaveHollywood”, then click the “Screen Saver Options…” button.
• You are now all set to add a video to be used as a screen saver on your Mac. To add a video, click the “+” (plus) sign in the dialog box, and it should let you choose a video file.
• Navigate through your Mac’s storage and find the video file. Select it and then click the button that says “Add.”
• Once a video has been added, you can then adjust the settings for how it should be displayed as your screen saver. The options include the size of the video that you wish to have, frames around the video, background colour, music of the video, and so on.

This is the easiest way to make a screensaver because you don’t have to change your video file into an executable file. In this method, we use “Video Screensaver Maker,” a small programme that lets us use a video file as a screensaver.
