The robot vacuums clean your floors for you. That means you can do more fun, attractive, or essential things with time. Some of the best robot vacuum cleaners can also empty themselves, so you don’t have to do anything to them for months. There are more intelligent, smart, robust, and flexible robot vacuum cleaners now than ever before. Because they have navigation systems, they don’t miss a beat. Some can even distinguish between hard floors, carpets, and rugs.
They work better, make less noise, and can avoid furniture, kids’ toys, and pets just looking around. Do you not have time to sweep or vacuum your home often? Robot vacuums are an easy way to keep it clean without you having to do all the work. These people can easily avoid furniture and get under couches and tables because they use technology like lasers or cameras to move around a room. Some of the best automatic vacuums can empty their dirt bins independently, so you don’t have to.
Many have smart pathing technology that helps them clean more quickly but aren’t as good at cleaning carpets as traditional upright vacuums. Lots of them also come with apps or remote controls that let you set times for them to clean or boundaries to keep them out of certain areas. Below, we have mentioned the top 5 Robot Vacuums.
What are robot vacuums?
Robot vacuums, also called robotic vacuum cleaners, are a type of vacuum cleaner that can clean your floors on their own. They can move around your house with the help of different sensors, and you can set them to clean at certain times. More and more people are buying robot vacuums because they make it easy to keep your floors clean without taking extra time.
Benefits of using robot vacuums
Robot vacuums offer several benefits, including:
???? Convenience: Robot vacuums are convenient because you can set them to clean your floors at certain times, even when you’re not there. You may have more time to do other things after this.
???? Ease of use: Robot vacuums are very simple to use. Just put them together and let them work.
???? Thorough cleaning: Robot vacuums can clean your floors thoroughly by moving around furniture and other things that might get in the way. You don’t even have to move your body to clean your hard floors with some robot vacuums that can mop too.
???? Less allergens: Because they collect dust, pollen, and other allergens in their bins, robot vacuums can help make your home less allergen-filled. People with asthma or allergies may benefit the most from this.
???? Low maintenance: Most robot vacuums don’t need much upkeep. All you have to do is empty the trash can regularly and clean the filters occasionally.
???? Affordability: In recent years, robot vacuums have become more affordable. You can now choose from a number of models at a range of prices.

Narwal Freo Robot Vacuum and Mop Comb
Features
- Freo Mode: he Narwal Freo mopping robot cleans without using its hands or mind. Smart cleaning decisions are made by it on its own, combining vacuuming and mopping for effective cleaning.
- Dirtsense™ Ultra Clean: This technology checks how dirty the mop pads are and cleans them by spinning them quickly with the right amount of water and floor cleaner in the package.
- Smart Swing Mopping: Freo’s Corner-Traps technology removes dust and stains in corners and baseboards that are hard to reach, ensuring the floor is completely clean.
- Deeper and Safer Clean: The patented mop pads clean deeply without damaging different types of flooring because they use a strong downward force. The triangular shape makes it possible to rotate smoothly without leaving marks.
- Three Mops Drying Modes: The robot has three mop pad drying modes. Two air tunnels and gentle heat at 40℃ ensure that each item is dehydrated after use, keeping things clean.
- Compatibility with Wi-Fi: The Narwal Freo robot works with 2.4G WiFi networks. It’s best to use this frequency for stable operation, even though most routers can connect to both 2.4G and 5G networks. For the best performance, follow the setup instructions that come with your router.
I just started using the Narwal Freo mopping robot to clean, and it’s changed how I do things. With the Freo Mode, cleaning is taken to a new level because vacuuming and mopping are done simultaneously. It knows what to do and ensures that every part of my floor is clean. The Dirtsense™ Ultra Clean technology is what makes it unique. It checks how dirty the mop is and cleans it with the right amount of water and cleaner. The Smart Swing Mopping feature is great for corners and baseboards that are hard to clean.
The Freo robot knows how to get through those areas thanks to Corner-Traps. The 12N force and high-speed spinning mop pads thoroughly clean any surface without streaks. The mop pads are also dry in three modes, so they are fresh and ready for subsequent use. One thing to keep in mind is how the WiFi is set up. As suggested, I switched to 2.4G for more stability. Overall, the Narwal Freo has changed how I clean it because it cleans better and safer with less work. I highly recommend giving it a try; it will make your life easier!

iRobot Roomba Combo J7 Plus
Features
- Smooth Transition: The Roomba Combo j7+ moves from cleaning carpets to hard floors without problems. It can vacuum and mop at the same time without your help.
- Smart cleaning: it knows when to vacuum and mop. It does both at the same time on hard floors. It lifts the mop when it hits carpets to avoid making a wet mess.
- Customized Cleaning Preferences: You can tell the cleaners how to clean each room in a certain way. You could say to it to vacuum the living room and then vacuum and mop the kitchen. You can also change how much liquid the mop uses for each room.
- 4-Stage Cleaning System: The 4-Stage Cleaning System uses different cleaning methods to give carpets and hard floors a deep clean. This includes sweeping the edges, mopping, having two brushes, and strong suction.
- Pet Waste Avoidance Guarantee (P.O.O.P.): iRobot promises that the Roomba Combo j7+ will avoid pet waste on purpose, which is called the Pet Waste Avoidance Guarantee (P.O.O.P.). If not, they’ll give you a new one for free (but there are some rules).
When you buy the Roomba Combo J7 Plus, iRobot gives you a promise that they will do something good for you. It stands for “Pet Owner Official Promise,” which means that they’ll replace your whole Roomba robot if it finds pet waste and doesn’t avoid it. It shouldn’t come to that, though, because this iRobot is very good at finding and avoiding obstacles. We saw that it vacuumed and mopped much better than many combination models. However, it had trouble with dry spills like oats because the brush attachment threw them around instead of brushing them.
Any major smart speaker can connect to the Roomba, and its app is smart and simple to use. It makes a map of your floor plan and lets you set up cleaning zones. It’s also always checking and learning, so if a particular area needs more attention, it will let you know. The Roomba is usually very quiet, but when it empties itself, it makes a 90dB noise for ten to thirty seconds. That’s the only real problem we have with this otherwise excellent robot vacuum and mopper. It isn’t the cheapest, though, so keep an eye out for deals and sales.

Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid
Features
- Dynamic Navigation 2.0: The RoboVac G30 Hybrid is made to move around your home quickly. It determines the best ways to get around your house so that it doesn’t miss any spots.
- Two Chores Covered: The RoboVac G30 Hybrid can both vacuum and mop. It has strong suction power to pick up debris from all surfaces and a mopping module for a final clean.
- Control at Your Fingertips: You can use your phone to control the RoboVac. This app lets you look at past cleanings, set up cleanings, change modes, and more.
- Set Boundary Strips: You can set boundary strips to tell the RoboVac not to clean specific areas, like a child’s play area or a pet’s bed. It only cleans the places you want because it has special sensors that can read these boundary strips.
- Note on Router Compatibility: Make sure that the frequency band your Wi-Fi router works on is 2.4GHz. The 5GHz frequency band can’t be used for communication by the RoboVac G30 Hybrid.
This hybrid floor cleaner from Eufy is an excellent option. This is a good way to get a good hybrid robot cleaner because it costs under half as much as the Ecovacs Robovacs robe mops and is often on sale. When we tested it, the Eufy G30 Hybrid quickly picked up fine dust, cookie crumbs, and bigger pieces of trash, like cereal, even on the lowest power setting from hard floors. Like most robot vacuums, it had a more challenging time with carpets and picking up dirt that had been walked on.
While it’s a pretty small unit, the water tank and the dust canister are small, but the mopping performance was very good. That means that both will need to be emptied more often, but we think that’s a small price to pay for this robot’s much lower price tag. Like other inexpensive Eufys, the company hasn’t skimped on cleaning. Still, you can tell where the money was saved on the software: the cleaner carefully moves back and forth through the room, mapping it as it goes, but you can’t save that mapping for later cleans; with this robot vacuum, every day is Like Groundhog Day.

- DuoRoller Brush: The new DuoRoller Brush has two rubber brushes that work well together to clean surfaces like hardwood, tiles, carpets, and rugs more thoroughly and with less hair tangling.
- Intense Suction Power: 6000Pa of powerful suction quickly lifts dirt and debris off floors to make them spotless.
- VibraRise Mopping System: Scrubs floors up to 3000 times per minute with sonic vibrations and steady pressure to eliminate messes and stains.
- Smart Hazard Avoidance: This feature uses cutting-edge technology to find and avoid possible obstacles on both light and dark floors so you can clean without worrying.
- 3D mapping: Make an accurate virtual map of your home so you can clean it more thoroughly and precisely. You can add furniture to the map to make it more useful for planning.
- App Control and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Connection: Connects to your home network so you can control it all from the Roborock app. You can see where the carpets are, set schedules, change settings, make “No-Go Zones,” and more.
Our test robot vacuum, the Roborock S8+, is the best one we’ve seen. This high-end robot vacuum has a dual-sensor navigation system. It has a LIDAR mapping sensor that makes a map of your home and two 3D scanning cameras on the front of the vacuum that let it see common obstacles like power cords, furniture legs, and even pet waste and avoid them if necessary.
It can also hold up to four maps, meaning you can use it on any house floor. It uses its camera sensors to find landmarks and determine which room it is in automatically. After mapping your home, it can also give you a 3D image of it.
You can also set no-go zones, different cleaning settings for each room, or use the “pin-and-go” feature to direct it to a specific spot to clean up small spills. Its ultrasonic mopping system differs from most passive mopping systems because the pad vibrates to remove dried-on stains. The S8+ version of this vacuum comes with Roborock’s Auto-Empty Dock Pure station. When docked, this station lets the vacuum move dirt from its dustbin to an external dirtbag.

iRobot Roomba s9+
Features
- Better Suction Power: The S9 Plus has 40 times more suction power than the Roomba 600 series. This means it can lift and remove dirt and pet hair from deep within carpets, giving them a thorough clean.
- Self-Emptying Bin: The vacuum empties its bin into a bag that can keep debris for up to 60 days. In other words, you won’t have to open it for two months.
- Precise Cleaning Technology: PerfectEdge Technology and special sensors ensure that corners and edges are thoroughly cleaned, making it perfect for pet-friendly homes. The broader brushes keep pet hair from getting tangled.
- Smart Navigation: The S9 Plus learns how your house is laid out and makes Smart Maps that help it clean quickly and neatly. It can also find things taller than 2.5 cm and move around without running into them.
- Instant Spot Cleaning: You can tell the S9 Plus to clean up specific messes as they happen by using the voice assistant or the IRobot Home App. This way, you don’t have to clean the whole house.
- Automatic Cleaning Scheduling: The IRobot OS lets you set the robot to clean when you’re not home and stop when you return. This way, you don’t have to be there to supervise the process.
The iRobot Roomba s9+ is one of the best robot vacuums overall: it’s one of the smartest and cleanest ones I have tried. Because it has advanced mapping, it can record and remember a blueprint of several floors of your house after just a few trips.
You can then tell the s9+ which rooms to clean on which days. You should probably schedule it when you’re not home because this robot vacuum is loud, especially on hardwood floors. It was hard to talk over it. Also, it’s not too heavy; I could tell as soon as I took it out of the box that it weighed 8.15 pounds.
The Roomba s9+ also comes with a charging base that empties itself. You’ll have to buy replacement bags for this base, which I don’t like, but you’ll only have to open the container every 30 days, saving you a lot of time compared to opening the onboard trash can. If you want to spend a lot of money, the s9+ can also talk to the company’s Braava jet m6 robot mop. The two can work together to vacuum floors and then mop them. That’s cool. Ultimately, this robot vacuum costs a lot, but it’s not something that could be improved.

How to Maintain and Clean Your Robot Vacuum
???? Regularly Emptying the Dustbin: To get the best performance, you must empty the dustbin after every cleaning cycle. If the bin is too full, it can block the airflow, which makes the vacuum less valuable.
???? Check the Rollers and Brushes: Look for tangled hair, threads, or other debris in the main and side brushes. Please get rid of any things in the way so they don’t get stuck or stop the vacuum from moving.
????️ Clean the filters: Most robot vacuums need to be cleaned every so often. Sometimes, these are HEPA filters and sometimes, they are other kinds. Follow the directions on the package to rinse or get new ones.
???? Check the Wheels: Look at the wheels to see if any hair or dirt is stuck in them. Make sure they can turn freely and clean them well. For the vacuum to move around, this is very important.
???? Clean the Outside: Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe down the outside of the robot vacuum to get rid of any dirt or smudges that have built up. Do not use harsh chemicals that could hurt the surface.
???? Periodic Maintenance: Some parts may need to be replaced every so often and cleaned regularly. This includes filters, brushes, and other parts used quickly. Check the user manual to see how often the parts should be replaced.
???? Software Updates: Ensure you have all the latest software and firmware updates the manufacturer sends you. These updates might include new features or performance improvements that can make your robot vacuum work better.
???? Fixing problems and making repairs: If something goes wrong or acts strangely, look at the user manual for steps to fix it. If the problem doesn’t go away, contact the manufacturer’s customer service or get help from a professional to fix it.
FAQs
Our test data shows that bots usually do very well on hard floors (no models scored less than 77% in this part of the test), but they can struggle with carpet, corners, and pet hair.
Traditional vacuum cleaners are better at getting rid of dirt in carpets than robot vacuums, even though robot vacuums are more convenient. Size and layout: Robot vacuums need time to learn how to get around in different rooms. As they do this, they may bump into walls and furniture.
