The 2022 Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i replaces the 2021 IdeaPad Flex 5 14 by updating the hardware on the inside and outside, which should make it run faster and look better. It’s a cheap consumer convertible, unlike Lenovo’s more expensive prosumer Yoga series, SMB ThinkBook series, or professional ThinkPad series.
Configurations include CPUs of the 12th generation Core i3-1215U, i5-1235U, or i7-1255U, and 8 to 16 GB of LPDDR4x memory. All of the options have the same 16:10, 1200p IPS touchscreen, and there are no separate graphics chips.

Where to get Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i?
The IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 has the same design as the model before it, but the plastic lid is made with glass fiber to make it feel stronger. The rest of the chassis is made of plastic, but it feels more solid than some high-end laptopsthat cut weight by using magnesium alloy. The IdeaPad Flex 5i feels like a million bucks compared to the cheap and very bendable Asus VivoBook Flip 14, which is made of plastic and has an aluminum alloy lid.
A good 720p webcam works well above the screen. The mic quality is also good, so you shouldn’t have any trouble being seen and heard on your next Google Meet. Almost no Chromebooks have 1080p or better webcams, which is a shame because more and more work and school are being done remotely. Lenovo did add a physical privacy shutter for the webcam on the Flex 5i model, so you can block it right away. Most people will find that more useful than a camera with a higher resolution.
