In the event that you are seeking for a splash of colour, you should go elsewhere because the Aspire 1 does not have any of it. In addition to the silver Acer logo that is located on the lid and the white font that is used on the keyboard, the entire laptop is black. The otherwise unremarkable appearance of the Aspire 1 is, thankfully, elevated by the presence of a brushed texture on both the lid and the deck.
An embossed Aspire logo is located on the stepping platform that is located on the back of the Aspire, which is possibly my favourite characteristic of the design. Although it is a rather unobtrusive design cue, it lends the Aspire 1 a certain air of coolness. Even while the keyboard of the Acer Aspire 1 provides a satisfactory level of haptic feedback, it is not comfortable for extended periods of typing. With a key travel of 1.2 millimetres and an actuation force of 78 grammes, the Aspire 1 does not provide the most comfortable typing experience.

Where to get Acer Aspire 1?
The touchpad is satisfactory for a low-cost laptop, and it has a touch reaction that is spot on. The buttons, on the other hand, are a little bit cumbersome, and this is actually where I made a few mistakes in pressing them. As is typically the case with laptops of this price range, it is definitely more beneficial for you to become accustomed to the touch and gesture controls rather than relying on more traditional input methods.
In this price range, where low-grade TN panels are usually an option and even at HD resolution, the Acer Aspire 1 (A114-33) has a 14-inch IPS display with a resolution of Full HD. This is basically all that you could ask for at this price point. It achieved a more than decent 310 nits maximum brightness in my testing, too, which indicates that it remains completely workable on half-brightness in ordinary daylight interior situations.
Despite the fact that this is a ComfyView display, which implies that it has an anti-glare matte surface to increase viewability in bright settings, you would not want to take it outside on a sunny day. Although the colour reproduction is good, the pop is noticeably lacking in comparison to more expensive computers. Although it is suitable for productivity activities and the occasional video on YouTube, it is a little too washed out to do films and box sets justice to their full potential.
