The Jabra Elite 7 Pro enter the market at a lower price point and retain almost all of the key features of the excellent 2020 Jabra Elite 85t. While these earphones had some notable issues at launch, subsequent firmware updates have made the Jabra Elite 7 Pro the best true-wireless earphones on the market. The design of these earbuds lives up to its name and really feels “pro”. Available in black, titanium or beige, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro earbuds are sleek and unobtrusive, barely protruding from the ears.
The shape of the earplugs pushes the earplugs deep into the ear canal, causing pressure and discomfort. If you take the earplugs in or out of your ears too quickly, you may feel a sharp pain from the sudden change in pressure. Like the earbuds, the soft-touch charging case is small and handy. It snaps shut magnetically with a confirming “click”, although the strength of the magnets and the lack of an opening bar make it almost impossible to open with one hand.
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]The IP57 rating makes the Jabra Elite 7 Pro one of the most durable earbuds around, surpassed only by the Jaybird Vista 2. The earbuds are water and dust resistant like a pro, so you can easily take them to the beach, the gym, or anywhere in between. You can also register the earbuds to get a two-year warranty against water and dust. Jabra claims that the earbuds will last eight hours on a single charge and provide a total of 30 hours of music playback with the charging case.
It takes 150 minutes to fully charge the case and earbuds, with five minutes of fast charging providing 60 minutes of playback time. The charging case is powered via USB-C or with a Qi wireless charging pad. The Jabra Elite 7 Pro feature Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC and AAC codec support. This ensures a stable connection, especially with AAC on Apple devices.
If you have problems with the connection, you should update to the latest firmware to eliminate most issues. The latest firmware has Bluetooth multipoint functionality, which allows you to connect to multiple devices, such as your phone and laptop, at the same time. Unfortunately, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro does not support high-quality codecs like aptX or LDAC, which means Android users are a bit behind in this regard.
