The TREBLAB HD77 is a small, solidly built portable Bluetooth speaker that comes with a detachable carrying strap and carabiner clip so you can attach it to your bag when you’re on the go. the JBL Flip series, including the JBL Flip 5 speakers, such as the JBL Flip 5. They are IPX6 waterproof, which means they can withstand direct contact with water for three minutes, so you don’t have to worry about taking them outdoors and getting them a little wet.
The stereo speakers offer a wide sound field and realistic sound thanks to their 360-degree design. However, like most speakers of its size, it does not have a thick bass and does not produce very loud sound. Unfortunately, unlike the JBL Flip 6, there are no sound customization features such as graphic EQ to adjust the sound to your liking.
These stereo speakers are great speakers, with an open and spacious soundstage that feels open and airy thanks to their 360-degree design. Sound contours are neutral, and vocals and lead instruments are well audible, but the mid and high frequencies are a bit uneven and can sound muddy. They are also not very loud, as is typical for speakers of this size, and the bass lacks thickness. Unfortunately, there are no graphic EQs or presets to customize the sound to your liking.
Although the HD77’s description says it is a “waterproof speaker,” it is not the kind of speaker you would float in a pool or take into the ocean. But you won’t have to worry about damage from partygoers accidentally spilling punch; the HD77 is resistant to water droplets, but the ports hidden in the pull-away panel are susceptible to liquid, so you’ll want to do your best to keep a fair amount away from the bottom of the speaker. I didn’t push it too hard, but I did intentionally splash the basin…
